co-signor auto loan

if I co-signed for an auto loan with my daughter am I laible for assuring that auto insurance in on the vehicle? If no insurance can I be sued if the auto is in an accident?

You give no information on your daughter, her age, if she is a resident of your household, etc. You may want to re-submit with better information.

If you signed the forms for MVD to be responsible for her, you are liable. If she is a family member and it is a family vehicle (you helped her buy it) you may be liable under the family purpose doctrine, even if she is not a minor. To be safe, make sure there is liability insurance in an amount you are comfortable with on the car.

Speak with your insurance agent to get advice also.
