Legal Question in Insurance Law in Arizona
I fell at work and hurt my knee. How do I know my job offers workers comp? How do I know if I'm eligible?

Most employers are required to obtain workers compensation insurance. A lot depends on what type of employee you are as to whether or not you will be covered by workers compensation. If you are considered an employee and not an independent contractor, you will most likely be covered. You need to report the injury to your employer immediately so that you are covered as far as giving notice to your employer. You also need to inform your employer that you wish to file a workers compensation claim and fill out the proper paperwork. If you give me your employer's name, I will gladly look up to find if your employer has workers compensation insurance. I hope this helps.
