Legal Question in Insurance Law in Arizona

home burned down, still havnt paid me after 8 months!

its been 8 month's since a home i rented burned down. i had renters insurance with american family and they stil haven't paid me antthing. no return mail or calls from them & i have sent them certified letters & cert. submission of claims w/ photos & lists of damaged property.they did put us up for 2 wks at slummie motel, but that has been all. we had just moved in, literaly just moved in the last load and went to eat. when we came back there were fire trucks, fire people,& blocked roads and what didnt burn, was ruined from water and smoke. we took 2 tons of my stuff to the dump. b4 we had left to go eat, my daughter kept saying she smelled something burning, but we looked around real good to find nothing. we also tho, had a designated smoking area outside where lots of people smoked to.

Sorry for your loss. I am sure there are more facts to this story. Is the insurance giving any reason for their refusal to pay? See an attorney. Wayne Arnet in Tempe handles bad faith insurance claims.
