Legal Question in Insurance Law in Arizona
A storm blew down 18 feet of cement slab fencing. The insurance company said they will only replace what fell. Problem is the slabs are from 1972 and no longer are made. It was one company who only did these types and went out of business in 1980. Can State Farm really put up in the middle a different 12 feet of block fencing in the middle of a 68 foot fence? The fence is damaged at the corner also which runs another 100+ feet dividing our neighbors line. That too is a continuation of the fence. Should they be obligated to repalce the entire continous fence end to end with something that matches? I know the fact that I've paid insurance on time since 1979 without one claim on the property means nothing but shouldn't it hold some equity?

It depends on the policy. Not just repair vs replacement. Lance Davidson 480-860-9390
