Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Arizona
My good friend is a model in Scottsdale. She does NOT ever do any pornographic modeling, however a video she shot has recently been posted all over pornographic sites. She has a wedding planning business (using her real name) and is trying to establish her client base. She is concerned that if potential clients see these sites her career could be seriously damaged. The use of this video is unauthorized, what recourse does she have?

As a Franchise Attorney I can tell you the answer depends on a number of factors. When you say she shot the video, what do you mean? Who holds the copyright to the video? These factors, along with the surrounding facts and circumstances of how the video migrated to the pornographic sites need to be analyzed. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney for specific advice.
