Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Arizona
Parents legal rights
Our 17 year old daughter has threatened emacipation and has become unbearable to live with. She doesn't go to school and does what she wants. Is there anything legal that we can do to get her out of our house before she turns 18?

Re: Parents legal rights
For a minor to be emacipated, they may be self-sufficient. See website.

If she is not self-sufficient she cannot be emancipated. She can threaten all she wants.
A dependency may be possible depending on circumstances and her exact age. The closer she gets to 18 the more unlikely it will be. I'd have to look into it further
I obviously don't know your daughter. Don't know if she is out all night long. Possilbe violation of city curfew laws. May want to call the police. There is not legal requirement of schooling at her age. Tough love may be in order. If she lives there, all you have to supply with food and water. Cut off the car, cell phone and all electronics, is a suggestion.
