Legal Question in Employment Law in Arizona

Employee rights

I worked for a major corp. in the valley that hires contractors to do most of their work. I was fired from the company and went on an interview for one of the contractors and was told they are not allowed to hire me because the other company said so. Is this legal? I have been black listed form this industry and want to know what my rights are.
