Legal Question in Employment Law in Arizona
employment
I was assaulted by the manager at the
hostel where I work, the owner of the
hostel stated he would fire me if I filed a
police report. When I get fired I will also
lose my home as we are not paid wages
merely a sleeping room. What are my
options?

Re: employment
The law may work to get damages after the fact, but not so good in this case. I would go to EEOC (Central and Indian School in Phx.) or State of Arizona Civil Rights Division before quitting for advice and to see if programs available. Sorry that not more help. but in other cases woman was left without job. So would line up in advance.
Re: employment
The Arizona Employment Protection Act makes it illegal for an employer to terminate you for raising complaints of illegal conduct. It is likely filing a police report of an assault would qualify as protected activity. If, however, they terminated you, you would have to file a lawsuit and prove they fired you for this improper reason. That will be expensive and take a year or more.
