Legal Question in Employment Law in Arizona
I am an exempt full time employee in Arizona. In April, my employer began making us take unpaid days off, due to the economy. Hourly employees are continuing to work, but we are not allowed to do so. All the salaried employees are able to work, but not allowed. Hence, we are short pay on our checks. We have had to take around 25 "furlough" days. Can they do this?

Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, unless you have with the employer some sort of contract stating otherwise, they can force you to take furlough days.
