Legal Question in Employment Law in Arizona
I was just informed on Tuesday that I received a job offer with a company and that my background check came back good. Today I received an email directing me to my account on the company's website and that I needed to agree to a release of liability for former employers, schools, and personal references. My question is why would they have me sign this after offering me the position? I thought employer and reference checks were a part of the pre-employment background checks. Should I be worried?
