Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Arizona

The apartments I live in where purchased by a new company, the new company decided to convert the storage room into a laundry room which meant the they had contractors in and out of the apartment while I was at work. I had $15,000 worth of personal belonging missing when I got home and the owners are telling me to contact my renter's insurance company because they aren't liable. I submitted a claim to my insurance company, however they only covered $7,000 of my total lost. Can I hold my landlord accountable for my losses?

I believe you can hold the landlord accountable for several reasons. The landlord had a legal duty to protect the personal property you stored there and should have given you notice that the room was to be converted and given you a reasonable period of time to remove your belongings. Failing to do that, the landlord should have stored your stuff some other place, even if they were to charge you for doing so. You can go to Justice Court.
