Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Arizona
I am being evicted for non payment of rent I had my rent in on time but did not include a pet deposit I owe with the rent check. They would not accept my payment saying it was not in full and now want all the late charges. I told them I would not pay late charges because these are two different charges Can they do this. Should I take this too the judge

If you are being evicted, the landlord has to take you to court and you have the opportunity to defend against the claim that you failed to pay the rent. I think that you should appear in court at the hearing and explain what happened to the judge, yes.
