Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Arizona

eviction

Fixing up a home to rent out. Let a homeless man live in it while helping with repairs. He didn't do anything; threw him out. He called police; they told me he could stay there as long as he wanted & that if he stayed 10 yrs. the property would be his. Please advise. Thank you.

Yes, you need to find a lawyer. Im not sure where the police got their information. It doesnt sound like anything in Arizona Law that Im familiar with; but the police are not going to be any more help at this stage. The homeless person is a guest and a guest can be asked to leave. Your attorney will be able to take a progressive series of actions, if needed. Good Luck
