Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Arizona
Fire In Apartment
I recently had a fire in my apartment, caused by contractors re-tarring the roof. The apartment complex shut off my power to service the apartmen. Now, the food in my refigerator is no good and my matress and clothing smell like smoke. Legally does the apartment or contractor have to replace these things?

Re: Fire In Apartment
Yes, either LL's insurance or Contractor's./
Usually you make claim with BOTH (attaching receipts for new furniture etc.) and let them haggle it out. BE SURE TO CC your Attorney so they stay on top of it ( and give them a HARD DEADLINE- perhaps 10days)
