Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Arizona
Notice required after Rental Agreement is Over
I signed a 6-month lease at my apartments with the intention to move when it was over (Nov 30, 2005). When I went to pay my rent for November they told me I had to give a 60 day notice to terminate my lease. Shouldn't I be free to leave and the end of my lease without giving notice? I never intented to stay longer and now they won't let me go without notice. What can I do to leave at the end of my lease?
Thanks,
Carol

No, you must still give notice. I am sure that is what the lease says.
