i had a roommate who has trashed my credit because he has not paid any of the agreed bills. i have a total, and now he is threatening to sue me because he has a car to which my wife holds the title. is this worth going to small claims over, and if so, do i have a case against him? the title to the car is in my wifes name.

Only you can determine if it is "worth it." It doesn't cost much to file in small claims court, but you get no appeal so you live with the decision. Also, the max is $2,500 in small claims.
Here is more information on small claims court.

I am not sure why your friend would sue you if he has your wife's car. There must be more to the story.
