Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Arizona

Grounds for Termination?

To Whom It May Concern

I was recently terminated from Arizona Public Service this past Friday (08/22/03).

I had no warning, but apparently I was breaking Corporate Policies.

Is it good practice to terminate someone for breaking company policy. Is there any grounds to fighting this? If you need more info, please respond..

Thanx...

Re: Grounds for Termination?

Most companies have policy manuals which explain how and under what conditions an employee may be terminated. The steps outlined in company policy must be followed. Termination for a number of reasons may be objectional under equal employment laws, which is the jurisdiction of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Consult an employment lawyer in your area for further information.
