Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Arizona

Bunion Surgery created deformed feet

After Bunion Surgery a few years ago, I noticed a "bump" growing on my right foot plus I was having trouble walking. 18 months ago I went to another Dr. to look at it. He wrote a 12 page report on what was wrong with my feet. The bump was caused by foreign matter left in the wound and my body was creating the "bump" to prevent my body from that foreign matter. Today, that "bump" is the size of a golf ball and I have a hard time wearing shoes. He also stated that the surgeon cut the tendon of one of my toes (2nd one)and that was causing it to "droop" and not funtion whatsoever . The report also gave reason on why I was unable to walk correctly and why the "balls" of my feet were deformed. As of this day, I am unable to stand for long periods and feel as if I am walking on rocks. Can you help?

Thank you

Re: Bunion Surgery created deformed feet

Arizona has a two year statute of limitations for medical malpractice. The statute begins to run when you discover the "facts" underlying the medical malpractice. In your particular case, it sounds like you "discovered" these facts about 18 months ago - meaning you have less than 6 months to file your lawsuit. Please feel free to call me at 626-395-9300 to discuss your case further. Steve
