Legal Question in Military Law in Arizona
military wage garnishment
I am in the military, and for the last seven months they have been overpaying me. Now they are garnishing my wages for the overpayment and for an old educational course I never completed, but am still in the process of completing. They have been taking all but 25% of my checks, leaving me with only 390 a paycheck. This is not near enough to live on. I ran it up the chain of comand and filled out a waiver of indebtment, but both failed. We have been getting grants through the Navy Marine Corps Relief Society and going to the food bank to survive. Is there any law or legal advice to help us? The base legal said they wouldn't talk to us.
