Defense against a law suit involving an auto accident
In July of 2003 I was involved in auto accident where my vehicle was broadsided during a left turn by a vehicle in the middle lane of a three lane street. I was cited by the local police for making an unsafe turn. My insurance claims they talked to witnesses and assisgned me responsibility. My full-size Ford van and the other driver's Hyundai were totaled. The other driver broke her leg and I received minor abrasions. My insurance company has informed me me my 30/60 coverage may not be enough and the other driver has secured a laywer. I recive Social Security Disability and work part-time (19 hrs/wk). I do not have any assets. Wha can I be sued for?

You can be sued for the total amount of the damage to the other party. Your income can then be garnished up to a percentage of your income.
