Legal Question in Personal Injury in Arizona

Hand crushed at local tavern/bar

Hello, Last night I had stopped in a local (Tucson, AZ) tavern/bar. I had not been drinking a stopped in because of a friends birthday party. 2 Drunk guys slammed me to the ground and fractured my right hand. The police arrived over an hour latter and had taken my statement and had taken 2 pictures (1 of me and one of the fractured hand). I went to my local hospital (North West Hospital in Tucson, AZ) and recieved x-rays. The doctor gave me bad news. The break could not be corrected without surgery. The x-rays (I have a copy of them for the hand surgeon) clearly indicate a complicated break in 2 places. Nothing like this has ever

happened to me before. Question One: assuming the men who did this are not located or are broke (which seems to be the case) would civil action be advisable? Question two: what liability does the tavern/bar have? Thank You! M

I don't know all the facts involved, but there maybe a pending action against the Tavern/bar. It depends on the specific facts of what happened that night and if the tavern was liable. If you would like you could give me a call and discuss the matter further.. Chuck at 480-296-2066. Good luck.

Did this happen in the bar or outside? What time was the incident? Why did they attack you? Witnesses?

If witnesses can identify the men it is possible to get a judgment and maybe garnish their wages. The bar can be held liable in certain instances but it has been my experience most bars don't carry insurance and the corporation has no assets.
