Legal Question in Personal Injury in Arizona

My kid injured another at third pary location...
My 9 year old injured another kid at a neighbor kids home where they were all playing.
The neighbor, was there when said injury took place but never told me about the accident until today. It has now been 5 days since this happened.
Injured child's parents have yet to contact me.
Due to the emergency room bill (which was somehow estimated to be around $375), and a visit to an eye specialist (already been seen once )and a follow up eye doctor visit (Not yet seen), and eye drops prescribed, THE NEIGHBOR (where the accident took place) has called seeking a monetary offering to said injured kids family. They have voluntarily paid the injured family $100 to offset the medical bills.
What to do? I realize that NEIGHBOR is prob. worried about being sued as a homeowner(renter). Logic tells me to wait and see if INJURED KID family contacts me. This will establish what they are (if anything) asking for and establish why they may feel entitled to such (if any) relief. GOOD WAY TO GO OR....?

Do not be too anxious. Wait till you find out the real damages. There is some time here.
