Legal Question in Personal Injury in Arizona

When I was a minor(16) I was involved in a serious car accident, because of the accident and a lawsuit that was filed by my parents a settlement was recieved that included a pain and suffering amount for me. What I have learned is that this money was to be put in trust for me until I reached 21. The money was also for future medical needs that would eventually result (my injuries were largely oral and dental ). I believe the amount of the pain and suffering slated for me was $67,000.00. The attorney was a fairly well known personal injury attorney here in Phoenix named Frederick Barry. The defendant was State Farm. The problem is this, I never recieved the money and was never informed of it. I found out by accident from a family friend. I am 41 years old, so this settlement is 24 years back. What action can I take if any. I have about $9,000.00 in dental work coming up and most is related the accident and years later finally needs further attention.

First of all, who was supposed to put the money in trust for you? If it was the attorney, you could sue him for malpractice and mishandling of money. However, I would also ask, why did you never in two decades inquire about the funds you were to receive when you were 21?
