Legal Question in Personal Injury in Arizona

Pedestrian vs. Auto- statute of limitations for suit?

I was hit by an auto in September of 97 as a pedestrian. I was out of a cross walk, and was issued a ticket for j-walking. To my knowledge the driver was driving on a suspended license with no proof of ins. At the time of the accident I was a minor, and therefore unable to press suit independantly. As an adult I would like to try to get some compensation from the accident (at least chriopratic care). Has the driver escaped the statute of limitations to file suit, or can I still press charges?

The statute of limitations on a personal injury claim in Arizona normally is two years from the date of the injury. If the injured person is a minor, however, s/he will normally have two years from the date s/he attained majority to file suit.
