Re: Personal Injury
I hope that she is okay. She certainly has legal rights and it would be against the law for her employer to terminate her for making a claim.
We can offer her a free consultation to fully advise her of her rights. She can get more infomation on dog bites from our website at
www.mcordova.com, or she can call us at 602.265.6700
Re: Personal Injury
If she taunted or made the dog attack, maybe not.
Most cases settle.

Re: Personal Injury
Dog owners in Arizona have absolute liability for a bite by the dog, even if there is no negligence on the part of the owner and even if the owner had no notice of the propensity of the dog to bite. In other words, it is not necessary to prove that the dog has bitten before or showed aggressive behavior. I assume that your daughter is an adult and did not provoke the attack.
Facial bites from dogs can be serious. There is often lingering medical disability from neurological damage in the face, permanent numbness, or scarring. She needs an experienced attorney who has handled dog bite cases. We have handled many dog bite cases, including litigation in court, since 1979, and offer free, no obligation initial consultations. Future medical bills and disfigurement are issues that must be addressed. Most insurance adjusters will offer low amounts to dog bite victims with no attorney in my experience. Our fee is based upon the contingency that we first win the case and collect funds before we are entitled to any attorney fee.
Also, your daughter may be entitled to workman's compensation if the injury was suffered while on the job. Have her speak with an attorney immediately and not give statements to the insurance, dog owner or employer before consulting with the attorney. She is always welcome to speak with me. Phone consultations can be arranged at 480.835.1500. As I said, there is no charge or obligation at all.
