Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

aquired raw land in divorce settlement

my xhusband & I purchased 40 acres of land jointly with my dad & stepmom which is 100% paid fornow. My recent divorce papers awarded me the claim on our portion of the land. Do I need to file anything else in the event we sell the property in the future or will the divorce decree be enough.

Re: aquired raw land in divorce settlement

Hard to say without the divorce decree in my hand, but based upon the facts you give I would state that undoubtedly the decree itself is not enough, and a proper deed should be prepared, ececuted and recorded immediately.

See an attorney immediately. You are always welcome to meet with me personally.
