Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona
I bought a car from a lot (PHOENIX CORVETTE CENTER - david zarra) We had set it up to make payments and I agreed to it. I had an emergency out of the state and had to move to IL to help my father in-law after his mother died.
Well long story short, I gave him the new address and the phone number. I continued to call him and send letters saying that my temp tag was expiring and he told me that he would let me know how much my tags were when they came in. I never received them and he never returned any of my calls. I still sent payments though with letters saying that I needed to get receipts and my tags. He never sent them. I then sent a letter saying that if you dont send me any receipts I will not send you any more because I dont know if you are applying them. He never responded again. So I stopped paying. I ended up having to get my car registered in IL so I could get a around. I am now back in AZ and need to xfer my registration. I found out yesterday that my car has no owner? It says that it was sold and thats it. He never turned in the registration and thats why when i got pulled over with my temp, the officer said nothing came up about it. Please let me know if it will be possible to get a bonded title or anything due to the fact that he wont answer me, he is never there and he lied about my registration and applying my payments. He is all over the internet as a rip off car lot and I dont know what to do.

I suggest that you file a complaint with the office of the AZ Attorney General, Consumer Fraud division, and with the state agency who licenses auto dealers. You might also complain to the police department with jurisdiction over the dealership.
