Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

break lease

How can I go about breaking my lease for my apt. I've lived in this apt in AZ. From august 06-jan 07, I don't feel as though I was fooled into signing a lease, I have never used my pool/jacuzzi in the 5 months Ive lived there. There has been a shooting that our complex managers claim they know noting about, and not to mention several robberies. Our front gate is broken for weeks at a time which doesnt say much for security our matenience are not professional at all, The office will be closed for days and we have no way of getting our mail. The inside has had alot of problem;leaks, lack of hot water. The staff is unorganized and I am currently living back in CA and would like to break my lease, I am not comfortable living there and feel that I shouldn't have to pay at a place I am not comfortable living at.

Re: break lease

This is really a landlord tenant question and should be re-submitted under that topic.

Some of what you complain about may be grounds for objections to your lease, but did you ever complain in writing about these items, or are they afterthoughts now that you don't want to live there? If you never requested repairs or remedies, you may have a greater problem.

Good luck,
