Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

buying a house when not married

My boyfriend and I are buying a house. The loan is in his name (credit issues), but he is putting the deed in both of our names as I will be paying half the loan. We want a document that says what will happen to the home if we split, or death, etc. What kind of a document am I looking for if we want to complete it ourselves?

Answer: Joint Venture Contract

You are wiser than many, who do this without any written contract, but not as wise as those who won't use do-it-yourself papers for such a transaction.

The trick is not in the selection of a "form" but in knowing the pertinent issues to state in the contract, and composing the structure of the provisions. Its all in the privisions themselves!

Good luck and best regards.
