Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona
Is this document legal?
My boyfriend owns the house, title/deed and mortgage in his name. We both signed a ''doc'' giving me 10 percent per year of the house, up to forty percent. (I am also to pay 1/2 all mortgage, upkeep, home improvement loans and homeowner property dues). Is this document we typed and signed and dated together legal in any sense or am I thoroughly unprotected as a renter and getting no tax benefits nor real interest at all in the property I work to maintain and pay to upkeep and improve?

Would like to help you, but cannot judge the document on your summary alone. Each word in a "doc" means something. Would have to see the document and know more facts. If it is not recorded, you may have a personal obligation owing by the boyfriend but not attached to the property.
