Does the state of Arizona have an implied or expressed warranty protecting new home buyers?

Your contract with the builder probably has a 1 or 2 year express warranty, but I would have to read the contract to be sure.

Arizona law recognizes an implied warranty as well that can last much longer, in some cases 8 years. But you should see an attorney NOW to determine how much time you have to file a claim. If you don't file the claim on time, you will never be able to file.

Also, in some instances you have only one year to file a claim or the claim will be waived.
