Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

legal notice of property manager being added to lease

I am trying to find out what steps need to be taken when a landlord hires a property manager. We are rental tenants and our landlord has hired a property manager who is attempting to change the terms of our lease agreement without any notice. Do they need to notify us that he has been hired and how are they supposed to notify us.

Re: legal notice of property manager being added to lease

You should contact the landlord and ask him to verify that he has hired a property manager and that you should communicate with him regarding your lease. Secondly, you should notify the landlord that his property manager is trying to change the terms of the lease, that you object to any changes in the terms of the lease and that you will abide by the terms of the lease agreement, until the termination of the agreed upon term.

Yes, the landlord should have notified you, however, it is common practice that the property manager gives the notification. You have the right to go directly to the landlord.
