Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

Mobile home no lien filed

My husband and I took a lien on our mobile home in 1999. The original company sold the lien to another company which is yet again been sold. The original title is showing the 1st company. The last company won't give us a simple letter stating the 1st was sold to the second company. We have paid about $30,000 in the last 4 years on the note and owe $500 less than we did when we started. We are tired of paying and getting nowhere on the loan. We can get it refianced if we had the letter. How can I get the company to give it to us? Also, what happens if we don't pay for it. If the last company isn't on the title what can they do.Would the original company have to come back to us? When I contacted the last company about a letter they got very ugly with me about wanting me to send them our title so they can get it changed.

Re: Mobile home no lien filed

the information you need is on record. The new lender can get it. If you are being put in the situation to prove companies, then you need to get refinanced by another lender. You do not need this letter. Your new lender contacts the current lien-holder who relays the "pay-off" and a check is sent. You then make payments on thenew loan. See a local attorney who can help you with the records.
