Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona
Owning a home while being on AHCCCS
Have lived and shared living expenses with another person for years, each keeping seperate accounts.....would like to have my name put on the deed to the house we share, in case of a death with either of us......Is it possible to own a home and still receive your Ahcccs Medical benefits??? Thank you.....

This is not a real estate question, but a question for an attorney who is knowledgeable in public benefits law (AHCCS/Medicaid). You might consider a beneficiary deed, which gives you no present interest in the house, but you would at least receive it if your partner dies. Also, you could sign an agreement as to the disposition of the house if one of you decides to move out, such as the house would be sold and the proceeds divided equally. An attorney could best do that for you. See an attorney.
