Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona
Private Sale - Failure to make Payments
I sold to my landlord my manufactured home in 2007 for $7000.00. She said that she was going to refinance the property that she owns where the manufactured home is and then include the home in the refinance. As of yet she hasn't done so and isn't making the mortgage payments in a timely manner. The mortgage company is calling me at work and her late payments are reflecting in my credit. She says no but I know better. Is there anything I can do? She has renters in the home and I have no idea the condition of the home. I don't want this to jeopordize my husbands military security clearance and she just doesn't seem to care. I have recommended that she apply for a transfer of equity but don't know what else I can do. She has other investments and claims to be a legitimate financial advisor. My concern is primarily for my husband and my credit which she apparantly doesn't care about. Are there any legal actions I can take? Please advise.

Re: Private Sale - Failure to make Payments
This sounds like a case of fraud. I don't know what your agreement was with the landlord, if it was in writing or what the terms are. You can take legal action and you can also complain the police where you live or to the AZ office of the Attorney General for consumer fraud.
You should take action at once. Do not let this go any further.
