Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

real estate agent's commission

If an agent signs a client in at a new home development and in the period between the signing and the building of the house, the agent's broker loses his brokerage license, what happens to the commission paid by the builder? Does it get paid to the broker, the agent, the client, or kept by the builder?

Unless I am mistaken, this issue was already raised in a previous post.

You need to consult with an attorney on this one. No one is able to see the contracts, and something will have to be negotiated with the builder, broker and agent. Ultimately you have a claim against the broker, but that might not be the easiest way to get paid. You might have to file a suit if the broker will not cooperate.
