Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona

Represent myself in Arizona Superior Court?

Wondering if I should try and represent myself in Arizona Superior Court. I want to sue for negligent disclosure on a rental house I bought... the amount is ~$20k. Alternatively, I could sue in Justice Court which looks ''friendlier'' but then I have to limit to $10k.

Are there hourly attorneys out there who could help point me in the right direction for forms and procedures? Or maybe Justice court is just more practical.

The case in in Peoria (where the house is) but I live out-of-state.

Note that I've already consulted with a lawyer on the case and tink I have a good case, but they don't do just hourly help.

Thank you

Re: Represent myself in Arizona Superior Court?

I am willing to consult with you for a one time fee of $350, where we can discuss the merits of your case and what the actual causes of action that you can bring and the proof necessary for you to carry the burden in either Superior or Justice court. Even though you are trying to do it yourself, it is most likely that you will not be able to properly observe procedural rules and prove your case properly on your own, particularly when you are faced with opposing counsel, who will most likely take advantage of your inexperience. If you indeed have a good case, then you go to superior court and have a right to attorney's fees. Your defendant is entitle to counsel in either court, so you must be prepared to pursue more than a negligence claim, ie breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, etc.

I am willing to render a limited amount of services but that is not in your best interests and my agreement to do so would be determined after we have an initial meeting.
