Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Arizona
tree roots
We are having a problem with our rental property's sewer line due to our neighbors tree roots. How can we get them to keep the roots cut away from our property. We are now having to replace a section of line and have already paid for the sewer backup and clean up. The cost of which is almost 3,000.00 so far. We undersand that the neighbor is an attorney also. Uh!
Please help as we don't want to keep having this problems with the sewer.
thank you for your answer in advance.

Re: tree roots
You can cut the parts of the roots that are on your property. And, you can sue the neighbor for damages. I'd try and talk to him first though. Maybe you can all reach an agreement without resorting to the courts.
