Legal Question in Traffic Law in Arizona
My brother was pulled over for a minor traffic violation and the officer cited him for not wearing corrective lenses. He pled not guilty to this misdemeanor charge. He was not wearing his glasses or contacts though. What are his defenes? He has zero offenses. what is the maximum charge he could face?

It is a class two misdemeanor usually settled with a fine. Yuma County charges just under $300. If he can go the MVD and pass the eye test to have the corrective lens restriction removed, the prosecutor will likely dismiss the charge. Even if your brother had 20/20 vision, he would still be in violation. He can still work something out with the prosecutor such as a deferral or diversion if offered in your area.
