Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arizona
changing beneficiries on asset without changing the will
My dad has a will and named assets and the beneficiries in his will.right before he died he changed the beneficiries on the Iras at the bank, but did not change the will. The Ira's are still at the bank and are part of the monies that are to help pay bills and whats left split between five people. since the will was not changed is the will what the court goes by.

Re: changing beneficiries on asset without changing the will
Thank you for your inquiry. The IRAs are non-probate assets, which means that they will go directly to the named-beneficiaries on the account, regardless of what is stated in the will.
I hope this information is useful.
