Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arizona

Death Certificate

Husband died and on death cert. was listed as divorced. which was not the case. Arizona has informed me I can not get the death cert. I have sent them my marriage license and I.D. He died in Arizona and I live in California. His Daughters listed him as divorced even though they knew he was not.

Re: Death Certificate

Call up the daughters and ask them why he was listed as divorced [do not directly accuse them unless you know they were at fault] and if they would help you get the death certificate by signing a Declaration they would all sign saying he was not divorced. If they say no, ask why not [probably because they are afraid you will inherit his estate]. Prepare a declaration yourself as to the lack of a divorce, pointing out that you can not disprove a negative. Ask the officials why you can not get a copy of what is probably a public record. Would they deny it to a news reporter?

If you need help on the declarations, once you have spoken to your step daughters, I can do so with out charge, after you have answered some questions.
