Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arizona

Driving Car off lot without any signature

I agreed to purchase a vehicle for my dauthter on Jan 3 2006, she drove off the lot without any signatures from me, or without a loan for it. I was living in North Carolina at the time, she in Arizona. Here it is 3 months later and still have no loan on the car and she now lives here in North Carolina.

I cant get license plates on it as I dont own it as yet??

What shall I do?

Re: Driving Car off lot without any signature

There must be a written contract for you to be responsible for a purchase. You do not state what discussions have been had with the dealer, nor what the specific problem is with gettting the paperwork and loan finalized.

Even though you did not sign a contract, if you take possession of a vehicle, you will be responsible for the depreciation, use and mileage on the vehicle if you use it. Also, make sure that the vehicle is insured to comply with state laws.

good luck,

James Jenkins
