From your question it is likely to be a low fee if it involves collection by affidavit. I cannot tell from the question what assets are in the estate, what you mean by "small," whether any action by an attorney is needed at all, or whether a probate court filing will be needed. Was there a will? Are there beneficiary designations on bank accounts? Are there vehicles? Is there a house? How long has it been since the decedent passed away?
