Can you please tell me what a attorney would charge to handle a small family estate?

By the hour we charge $ 230.00 and it should not take more than 5 or 6 hours

Re: Estate

We offer a free, no obligation consultation to evaluate a client's needs, determine the action that needs to be taken, advise the client and arrive at a fee that is fair. From your question it is likely to be a low fee if it involves collection by affidavit. I cannot tell from the question what assets are in the estate, what you mean by "small," whether any action by an attorney is needed at all, or whether a probate court filing will be needed. Was there a will? Are there beneficiary designations on bank accounts? Are there vehicles? Is there a house? How long has it been since the decedent passed away?

You may schedule the free consultation at 490.835.1500. Sometimes we are able to quote a flat-rate fee so that it does not end up being more than you expect because it was charged by the hour. Thanks for your question.

Best regards,

James D. Jenkins
