My husband died in Jan 09. Have since found a Janus account that i need to trnsfer into my own account. He did not have a will. What paper work do i need

The answer depends on the value of his assets at the time of death. You may be able to do this with an affidavit or you may have to open a probate case. Repost your question with more details.

If the account is valued at less than $50,000, you can file an affidavit with the superior court and get the authority to transfer the account. Go to the Maricopa county superior court Self Service Center, you can do this online, and get the forms and instructions under downloadable forms, probate, small estates.

I agree with Donald Scher. If the account is $50,000 or more, or if there other assets that need to be transferred, and they total $50,000 or more, you will need to open probate. This can probably be done informally. You may contact me by email if you have further questions.
