executors/beneficiaries

I have a will in the jurisdiction of pennsylvania--- attorney who drew it up said beneficiary cannot be executor

is this also true in arizona?

In Arizona, it is permissible (and common) for a beneficiary to be the Personal Representative (executor) of an estate. For instance, if John Doe passes away and leaves 3 children, all would be beneficiaries, and he would likely name one of them as the Personal Representative.
