Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arizona
I am filing for ancillary probate in the state of Arizona with the domicile probate in Pennsylvania. I have been granted my Letters of Testamentary by the Register of Wills in PA.
My question is: How does the ancillary probate work - which state law governs? I'm assuming Arizona law will pertain to the small estate property located therein and vice versa with Pennsylvania.
And as for taxes, what, if any will be due in Arizona? The property is roughly worth $35k. Will I also need to publish a notice for creditors in AZ since I have already done so in PA?
I'm not quite sure how an ancillary probate works.

The ancillary probate is just to deal with property in Arizona. If the property is worth $35k, you may only need to file an affidavit and do not require probate and notice to creditors. Go the the Maricopa County Superior Court, self service center and find the instructions and forms for probate of a small estate.
