There are a number of ways to determine if a person had a Will. First, by checking with the county in which he died and see if one was registered and/or filed after his date.

Third, if the deceased had a personal attorney, you could check with him or her to see if they had a Will.

In the absence of a Will, then the state statute governing disposition of an estate governs.
