Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arizona
Do I have to have any "Legal Papers" when closing an estate? other than filing estate taxes with the IRS? The will went thru probate because there was a law suit pending settlement. It has since settled. There are no problems with the daughters who are splittting everything equally.

Yes, there are documents to file to close the estate. You may or may not need to file a Federal estate tax return for the estate (if there are estate taxes due), but you probably do have to file income tax returns, state and federal. You should hire an attorney to help you with the closing of the estate (fees are reimbursable by the estate) or go to the Self Service Center of the Superior Court for instructions and forms.
