Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Arizona

Letter of Testamentary

My mothers will was not done by a lawyer and she left me her stocks. In Arizona this court appointment is needed. How do I get it?

Re: Letter of Testamentary

You will either need a probate case filed or an affidavit of transfer if the estate qualifies as a small estate. I would need to know more facts to tell you which method. In general, if the assets are less than $50,000 and it has been more than 30 days, the small estate prodecure is available.

We offer free, no obligation consultations for this purpose, to get all the facts and tell you what needs to be done. I would also need to examine the original will. You can call 480.835.1500 to arrange it. We do estates in all counties of Arizona.
