MY FIANCE DIED AND LEFT ME WITH AN IRREVOCABLE LIVING TRUST OVER HIS DUPLEX. THE PAYOFF OF THE HOUSE IS $5800. cAN i PAY IT OFF AND TRANSFER IT INTO MY NAME SO THE FAMILY VULTURES CAN'T TOUCH IT?

Generally, an irrevocable trust cannot be changed. But, you should really have an attorney look at the documents to properly advise you on the scope of your interest in the property.
